Tobacco Control Unit researchers participate in the IDIBELL Open Access Week
Open Access Week (OAW, 23th-29th October 2017), a global event now entering its eighth year, is an opportunity for the academic and research community to help make Open Access a new norm in scholarship and research.
This year, we have celebrated OAW at IDIBELL by introducing iMarina, our brand-new information managing system, through a series of presentations and practical workshops to help IDIBELL researchers learn the potencial benefits of managing your iMarina CV.
Additionally, during OAW video-tips had been available for researchers to improve their knowledge of Open Access in our social media channels. The Tobacco Control Unit Director, Dr Esteve Fernández, has recorded a video-tip talking about the importance of Open Access in spreading research findings beyond scientific journals. But, our Director has not been the only one engaged as the researchers of our Unit have also actively participated in the OAW by attending the iMarina practical workshops and presentations.
